They are under the pressures of their work and do not then have the time to find out just where the other person is coming from or what makes them tick.

It’s like working with strangers all the time – people you are not quite sure you can trust and you don’t empathise with. But once Team Building Activities begin you are able to relate to those people in a different way. Team Building Games help people to see each other in a different light – in a social atmosphere rather than just in the workplace.

Team building events place people on the same team so that they begin to see each other as team mates who must pull together to win.

Coach’s Guide to Team Building, Volume II (DVD)

with Greg Dale, Ph.D., Duke University Mental Training Coach In the initial volume of Coach’s Guide to Team Building, Dale shared the framework and the necessary building blocks for successful team building. In Coach’s Guide to Team Building, Volume II, Dale takes the next logical step by sharing several team building activities and showing how to implement team building activities into your program. Dale emphasizes the skills utilized during effectively-planned team building activities – teamwork, communication, and trust – all of which are critical in the development and growth of your team. Using several different Duke University teams as demonstrators, Dale facilitates eight team building activities; each time, Dale shares the rationalization for the activity, facilitates the activity, and then leads a post-team building activity discussion, allowing the athletes to share what they learned – about themselves, and their team, while drawing parallels
