Team development is an investment that gives employers an edge over the competition. Team development training can include team building workshops, team coaching, experiential learning, or team training in specific areas. Team development exercises are useful when a team needs to learn about team skills and how to apply them. Team development skills include trust, communication, cooperation, and commitment. Team development exercises can vary, but can include outdoor challenge courses, indoor exercises or even the use of assessment tools. Experience refers to the nature of the events someone or something has undergone. Experience is what is happening to us all the time – as we long we exist. Experiential learning can be a highly effective educational method. Experiential Learning is the process of making meaning from direct experience. Experiential learning requires no teacher and relates solely to the meaning making process of the individual from direct experience. It is an inherent process that occurs naturally. An example of experiential learning is going to the zoo and learning through observation and interaction with the zoo environment, as opposed to reading about animals from a book.
