Can any recommend team building activities for students?

By Emily On January 9, 2010 Under Challenge Programming

I am teaching a drama class and everyone in it is very different. I am trying to come up with ways I can force them all to bond…lol… But I know all the team building games. Has anyone had any success in having kids get to know one another through little interviews or something like that?

Yeahh! we did one at school where we had to make up a chatshow!! Was really fun….we all had different roles but we weren’t allowed to make up lines or have scripts! I learnt alot about other people on that day xx

Now please answer mine!!

Consider planning a scavenger or treasure hunt. You can design one yourself or you can purchase one. Check out http://www.mastersofthehunt.com/buy-a-scavenger-hunt.php for hunts that are professionally designed with cool graphics. They can all be customized for your location, time frame, etc. Many to choose from for different age groups.

One time in school (I can’t remember the grade) my teacher paired everyone in the class up and we had to learn some things about each other (favorite song, favorite movie, etc.). Then, we had to stand in front of the class and introduce ourselves (we got to write everything down and look at it, we didn’t have to memorize everything). It gave us the chance to each meet a new person and learn some things about them, and we also got introduced to the rest of the class.

    Hope I helped! :)

Team building activities are a great opportunity to motivate any team, stimulate "out of the box" thinking and solve problems by recognizing challenges and building on strengths. The link below is a selection of team building activities that involve outdoor and indoor exercises.http://www.managementskillsadvisor.com/free-team-building-activities.html
